SPRING BREAK @ THE SHIRE & PEACOCK
Our fun and enriching Single Day Art Camp Classes are the best way to keep your kids having fun and learning when Portland Public Schools are closed! From the novice painter to the expert clay maker, we work with all students to inspire creativity, self-confidence, and friendship while introducing them to new art mediums and exciting experiences!
Our Spring Break Camps are broken up with indoor time where much of our artmaking activities happen, and outdoor-action time! We play games such as kick-ball, capture the flag, tag, frisbee- not to mention some outdoor relaxation time as well.
FIELD TRIP ART CAMP SPRING BREAK 2026
This year we are introducing our BRAND NEW Field Trip Art Camp - an adventure style camp that take campers on a field trip every day to various art inspired locales here in our city!
We’ll be hiking up Mount Tabor and throughout Forest Park, heading to the Portland Art Museum and touring Portland iconic architecture and murals, then ending the week with a visit to the Oregon Zoo! All the while, we’ll have our sketchbooks in hand, ready to draw what we see and document our city

HOW IT WORKS (ALL Spring Break Camps):
Dates: Monday - Friday, March 23 - 27, 2026
Parent/Guardian Drop-off : 8:15a - 9a
Parent/Guardian Pick-up: Anytime between 2:00p - 3:00p
Ages: K- 5 for The Shire/Peacock Art Camps; ages 8-11 for Field Trip Art Camp
Cost for Spring Break @ The Shire or Peacock: $275
Cost for Field Trip Art Camp: $325 (more details here!)
What camp do I book?: Because parents are in control of drop-off & pick-up for Spring Break you are able to select the location most convenient for you!
What to pack: Each camper will carry their own backpack complete with a full water bottle, two snacks, a sack lunch, any necessary medication, and appropriate clothing/shoe wear for that day’s activity.
Cancellation Policy for All Art Camps:
Cancellation requests for art camps received 30 days or more, prior to start at The Hangout PDX will receive full refund less a $50 per camp/class cancellation fee. Cancellation requests received less than thirty days prior to start of camp will incur a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds on cancellation requests received two (2) weeks or less prior to start at The Hangout PDX.
