Field Trip Art Camp!
Join the Hangout team for our Field Trip Art Camp, an adventure-style spring break program that takes us out of the art studio and out amongst our own backyard!
We’ll hike to the top of Mount Tabor and explore Forest Park, go on a Portland mural and architecture scavenger hunt, visit the Portland Art Museum and it’s newly expanded exhibits, and end the week with a trip to the Portland Zoo! All the while, campers will draw inspiration from their adventures in their handmade sketchbooks via graphite, charcoal, pastel, and watercolor mediums!
Camp runs from 8:15AM - 3PM, Monday - Friday. Drop-off/ Pick-up location is The Shire, 4707 SE Belmont Street.
This program requires campers to be on their feet for most of the day, often hiking up and down hills over uneven terrain. We are outside in all weather so appropriate attire and footwear is required. Campers are expected to carry their own belongings for the entirety of the camp and be able to keep up with the group.
Campers must bring a backpack with a packed snack and lunch, water bottle, appropriate footwear and attire for the days activities.
Cost includes transportation in camp bus to/from camp headquarters as well as entrance fees.
